The autographs and relics in 2016 Topps Series 1 Baseball are largely limited parallels of the base inserts. Among the more premium insert choices, Topps Laser (25 cards - Hobby/Jumbo) features a detailed laser-cut design to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the former brand.
A popular option in 2015, First Pitch (1:8 packs) contains the notable names to throw out a first pitch in 2015. 100 years at Wrigley Field (25 cards - 1:8 packs) highlights the top moments at the Chicago Cubs' field.īack-To-Back (15 cards - 1:8 packs)  combines key power hitting pairings. Pressed Into Service (1:8 packs) showcases unlikely pitchers. Perspectives (25 cards - 1:4 packs) features a unique vantage point for each player. Berger's Best (65 cards - 1:4 packs) includes a reprint from each season since 1952 to honor hobby legend Sy Berger.
Inserts also play heavily into 2016 Topps Series 1 Baseball. Parallel options include Rainbow Foil (1:10 packs), Gold (#/2016),  Vintage Stock (#/99), Black (Hobby/Jumbo - #/65), Pink (#/50),  Clear (regular Hobby only - #/10), Framed (Hobby/Jumbo - 1 per case), Platinum (1/1) and Printing Plates (Hobby/Jumbo - #1/1).
This includes some of the late-season rookie call-ups that did not make it into 2015 Topps Update. Working with a new design, the 350-card base set features veterans, rookies, Future Stars, League Leaders, World Series Highlights and team cards. Each Hobby box promises one autograph or relic per box and Jumbo boxes contain one autograph and two relics. 2016 Topps Series 1 Baseball helps usher in the new season with an overhauled base design and a mix of collecting goodies.
